Shopaza eCommerce platform — Payaza launches Shopaza, integrates AI to simplify eCommerce

Payaza, a pan-African payment company, just launched Shopaza, a new eCommerce platform designed to help small business owners in Africa sell online without the headache of managing multiple social media accounts.

The platform was unveiled at a launch event in Lagos on June 18, 2026, and is officially live across 23 countries in Africa, North America, and Europe. But here’s the key question for Ghanaian sellers: we don’t yet know if Ghana is included in those 23 countries.

What is Shopaza, and why does it matter?

Right now, most African eCommerce sellers use Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp to sell goods. The problem? They have no clear view of what’s selling, when customers buy most, or how much inventory they have left. Sales data is scattered across platforms, making it hard to grow.

Shopaza solves this by giving merchants one digital storefront where they can display products, track sales, manage inventory, and see real customer data in one place.

The platform is built on top of Payaza’s own payment system, which means sellers can enjoy instant settlement, rather than waiting days. “As you stock your store, you can sell those goods, recoup your funds and immediately fund your store,” said Kehinde Omotosho, Payaza’s Head of Engineering.

The AI angle: AI store builder

The standout feature is an AI-powered store builder. Instead of hiring a web designer or struggling with complicated setup, sellers can use AI to design and launch their store quickly, making them competitive from day one.

This is especially useful for traders who want to move beyond social media but don’t have tech skills or money for expensive web developers.

So what does this mean for Ghana?

If Ghana is one of the 23 launch countries, Ghanaian traders—especially those on Kumasi Central Market or selling handmade goods online—could use Shopaza to reach customers beyond WhatsApp and Facebook, all while keeping their payment in one system.

But right now, Payaza hasn’t confirmed whether Ghana is included in the launch. Nor has it announced local pricing, payment methods (like Payaza’s tie-up with MTN MoMo), or local language support.

What you should do now

If you’re a Ghanaian online seller, check Shopaza’s website or Payaza’s Ghana page to see if you can sign up. If Ghana isn’t live yet, watch for announcements—pan-African fintech launches usually expand to major markets like Ghana within weeks.

For now, stay on top of your current sales channels and keep an eye on whether this platform arrives in Ghana. If it does and integrates with MTN MoMo or other local payment methods, it could be worth switching.
