During mid-April, rumors swirled about Google’s Pixel Tablet making an appearance in a collection of four shades. However, Google unveiled only three at the I/O 2023 event. Today, we’re excited to share news of the fourth color: a stylish black.

The Pixel Tablet is presently available for pre-order in three unique shades: Porcelain (a muted beige), Rose (a delicate light pink), and Hazel (a striking dark green). Google’s design team chose white frames for the Porcelain and Rose variants to enhance their compatibility with smart home interiors. The Hazel variant, on the other hand, blends a sleek black bezel with a dark green back, creating an effect of streamlined elegance.

The newly introduced fourth color features a black bezel paired with a dark gray back, a design reminiscent of “Charcoal,” aligning with Google’s typical color-naming conventions.

As of now, it’s uncertain why Google initially held back from announcing this black Pixel Tablet. Despite Hazel catering to those with a preference for darker electronics, the introduction of the Charcoal Black variant provides another stylish alternative.

In related news, it’s unclear if Google plans to introduce a new Charging Speaker Dock color. The current Porcelain tablet comes bundled with a Rose stand, while a Hazel dock might suit the fourth Pixel Tablet shade. It remains to be seen whether Google will introduce a black Pixel Tablet Case, though this is a likely possibility.

The Pixel Tablet will be available on June 20 across 11 countries: US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, Japan, and Australia. Priced at $499 for the 128GB version, the 256GB variant (not available in Rose) comes with an additional $100.
