#BeCyberSmart: When free isn’t really free

Social media has become a reliable tool not just for keeping in touch with friends and family but also for networking and meeting new people but it is now a stomping ground for those with ill intent. Don’t pick just any site you find on social media and share with others; you may unknowingly be sharing viruses and ransom wares and you could find yourself in deep trouble.

Be wise and cautious on social media; don’t share personal data, don’t live your entire life on social media and don’t share links to sites which are flagged as unsafe. Always update the web browser you use and do not trust unsafe websites.
