Dove Payments launches in Ghana to simplify healthcare payments

Dove Payments Gateway is a healthcare technology startup operating out of Accra, Ghana. The firm recently launched out of its private Beta trials with the aim to simplify healthcare payments in Ghana and emerging markets.

Dove Payments allows providers to make payments for utilities and expenses like waste disposal, equipment maintenance, pharmaceutical suppliers, and laundering services to the various vendors they work with.

This solution is a response to increasing demand for quality and affordable healthcare, faster and simpler payment solutions, and growing investment focus in healthcare infrastructure and services from key players like ADB, IFC, and numerous PPP activities, the value of healthcare transactions in the region is set to grow immensely.

One crucial feature of this payment system by Dove is that it features a transfer-check mechanism to ensure the HBO (Healthcare Business Owner) provides approval for all financial transactions on the business account with the goal to ensure full accountability and traceability of funds disbursement.

Also, with Dove Payments, patients can scan and pay for their healthcare bills and other Out-of-Pocket expenses which the healthcare facilities will receive in their Dove Wallet.

According to the Founder and CEO, Alexander Okereke,  he said “ We hope to be the backbone of all healthcare payment by providers and patients across the continent in the near future.
