visionOS 27 Siri AI — Apple announces visionOS 27 with Siri AI

Apple just announced visionOS 27, the next version of software for its Vision Pro headset, and the big update is a smarter Siri that can understand what you’re looking at.

If you own a Vision Pro or have ever wondered what it does, here’s what matters: the new Siri can now “interact with anything in your physical or digital space,” according to Apple. That means you can point at something in the real world or on your headset screen and ask Siri about it, instantly.

What’s new in visionOS 27?

The headline feature is visual intelligence. Wear your Vision Pro, look at something, and ask Siri a question about it. Whether it’s a real object in front of you or something on your virtual screen, Siri can respond based on what you’re seeing.

Apple is also adding:

  • Curved windows: Virtual windows that wrap around your physical space, like curved monitors in real life.
  • Faster Wi-Fi: Vision Pro will connect up to 3 times faster than before.
  • Panorama environments: Photos you’ve taken can now become immersive backgrounds you can step into.
  • Smarter notifications: Just look at a notification to expand it and see the full message.
  • Smaller widgets: An “extra-small” widget size gives you more ways to arrange your headset’s home screen.

The Control Center (where you manage settings) has also been redesigned with three clear sections: notifications and playback, core controls, and environments.

When is visionOS 27 coming?

Apple says the developer beta is available starting today. A public beta launches next month, and the full release hits this fall.

The Siri AI features arrive later this year as a beta. Important note: it only works in English for now, and it will launch in the EU without any delay (unlike Siri AI on iPhones, which faced a delay in Europe).

What does this mean for you?

Unless you own a Vision Pro (which is not yet officially available in Ghana), this update is more of a tech-enthusiast story than something you’ll use tomorrow.

But it shows Apple’s strategy: make its AI assistant useful across all its devices, from your phone to your headset. Vision Pro remains a niche device outside the US, and Ghana has no official Apple retail presence, so adoption here is minimal.

What to watch: If Apple eventually brings Vision Pro to Ghana through retailers or if the price drops significantly, updates like this will matter. For now, keep an eye on Siri improvements coming to your iPhone or Mac later this year instead.
