Vodafone Ghana will be brought under the management of Vodafone Group’s South African division, Vodacom Group Limited in April. Thus, the operations of Vodafone Ghana will be supervised by Vodacom rather than the parent Vodafone Group in the UK.
This move is part of the global communications giant’s agenda to bring all its operations in Africa under one company. The company will therefore oversee all Vodafone operations in the West African region.
There won’t be any customer-affecting changes or any transfer of assets as Vodafone Ghana will maintain its branding.
Johannesburg-based Vodacom Group Limited will not only supervise West African markets but its operations in Tanzania, Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Africa.
