Uber has introduced a mask verification feature to protect riders and drivers.
The new feature follows Uber’s “No Mask, No Ride” policy that requires both passengers and drivers to wear a nose mask at all times while inside an Uber vehicle to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Nose masks are mandatory for riders and drivers, and both of you can leave feedback if the other isn’t wearing one and Uber will block anyone who consistently violates this policy.

In a press release, Uber mentioned that if you’re ever flagged for not wearing a mask, you’ll have to take a selfie in the app to verify that you’re wearing one before your next ride.
Drivers must also verify they’re wearing a mask before they start accepting trips and with the driver mask verification tool, this technology detects the mask as an object in the photo and does not process biometric information.
Coronavirus is real, always wear a mask when stepping out.
