The speakers of the event…
The speakers of the event are no other than Ghana’s own Eyram Tawia and Nigeria’s Chidi Nwaogu. These two entrepreneurs are going to talk about Product Market Fit on the event day. But you should know a little about them.
Eyram Tawia is an experienced game designer and developer. He co-founded Leti Arts on his conviction that Africa will make a salient contribution to the world of game development thus helped to pioneer the industry.
Tawia has won a lot of awards and nominations for his works. Some include the British Council Young Creative Entrepreneurs Media Awards 2012, Best Entertainment App and App Developer (2013 Ghana Top App Awards), Most Heart for Africa (Africa Entrepreneurs Awards 2015), Vodafone Global Appstar 2014, etc.
He is a regular public speaker. At the Game Developers Conference 2013, San Francisco, he spoke on The Emerging Landscape of African Game Development. He also appeared at the US-Africa Business Summit 2014 in Washington DC, and at TedxAccra in 2015.
Chidi Nwaogu is a serial Internet entrepreneur from Nigeria. Starting his entrepreneurial journey at 16, Nwaogu built a video game, 9ja Boi Interactive. He went on to co-found 2 companies. Currently, he is the co-founder and CEO of Publiseer, a digital publishing platform.
His company, Publiseer, was part of a couple of incubator programmes and competitions. It was part of Microsoft’s Accelerate Labs and University of Cape Town’s Venture Incubation Programme.
Also, Publiseer was a ﬁnalist at a Harvard Business School New Venture Competition and Disrupt Africa Live Pitch Competition.
Chidi Nwaogu has also achieved a lots of feats. He was the keynote speaker at the 2012 IT Leaders West Africa Summit. There, he gave a 30-minute lecture on the role of social media and mobile in developing nations.
