Ingressive Capital, a venture fund, has launched on an online platform where African tech startups can apply for fundraising. This venture fund is one that focuses on early-stage African startups.
With this fundraising platform, Ingressive Capital seeks to help early stage founders of businesses in Africa with funds between $50,000 and 100,000.
Maya Horgan Famodu, the founder of Ingressive Capital says she recognises how difficult it is, especially for early stage business founders in Africa, to get access to funds to grow their businesses. Thus, their platform will make raising funds easier and bring it closer to startups in the Sub-Saharan region, especially.
She said, “Fundraising is difficult. We want to help the best and the brightest founders across Africa stay focused and keep building.”

She continued that Ingressive Capital’s funds will go to the teams with great solutions and ideas.
“We’re looking for great ideas built by solid teams. No matter where you are in Sub-Saharan Africa, apply. We’re looking for the best of the best, irrespective of who you know or where you’re based.”
Ingressive Capital says it is seeking to help early stage businesses that run with a well-defined business model. The startups should have also gained some traction.
To apply for funds from Ingressive Capital, applicants must also manage their businesses in a “high-growth technology business”. Also, the business should have a focus on “large markets” target.
Through Ingressive Capital, a couple of startups have found their feet. Its portfolio includes mostly Nigerian startups. Some of them are Taxitv, Tizeti, which is a broadband internet service provider. Others include Paystack, a payments platform, an event booking portal, Ogavenue and AWA Bike.
