Ghana is faced with a lot of challenges; over time, various forms of technological advancements by way of the use of applications have become handy in the solution of these problems.
In view of this, there has been a rise in ideas of solving problems however, it’s either these ideas are not well-nurtured or do not have the competitive urge over the ones on the market which are not tailored towards our local needs. Even if they pass these tests, developers do not have the financial muscle to push their ideas through.
Considering this, it is important to note that these apps must be nurtured and brought out of the dark into the light; our problems need solutions too. So as one of the major steps in ensuring that apps that solve pertinent issues in the country are given the needed leverage, the MTN App challenge was introduced and it has been running annually for 5 years now.
On Wednesday, June 27, 2018, the MTN App Challenge V 5.0 came to an end with a colourful event at the MTN media centre in Accra.
