“Ghana has everything it takes to become the silicon gateway of Africa”. These words of Einstein Ntim, the co-founder of the Ghana Tech Summit sum up the reason behind the selection of Ghana as a destination for such an event in Africa.
Various experts from Google, Forbs and other International Tech giants came to share their experiences in the two-day summit which ended on Friday, July 20 2018.
“The world is talking about innovation and technology in Africa, said Marc Alain Boucicault, founder of Banj Co-Working Space in Haiti.
Marc Alain has worked in international development and macroeconomic research with the World Bank Group and the Inter-American Development Bank. He was the first in his country to develop the country’s private incubator by bringing in over 300 developers.
He says the move accelerated business in his country.
Using Google’s decision to launch its first African artificial intelligence centre in Ghana as a premise, many speakers believe that Ghana is Africa’s next big thing hence, creating a good Ecosystem is what should be focused on.
