With over 33 million active monthly users and 16 million active daily users, Nigeria still remains Facebook’s biggest market in Africa and the company is set to open its second office in the West African country in the second half of 2021.
According to reports, the new Facebook office in Nigeria will house a cross-section of Facebook teams from sales, policy, and communications to engineering which forms part of the company’s latest commitment to Nigeria.
With more Nigerians using Facebook than anywhere else on the African continent, Facebook is moving closer to where the talent is. Nigeria was also ranked among the fastest-growing developer communities in Africa last year.
This statistic shows the projected number of Facebook users in Nigeria from 2017 to 2025 which means In 2025, the number of Facebook users in Nigeria is expected to reach 43.53 million, up from 27.46 million in 2020.
