Have you ever wished you could collaborate with your favorite celebrity or influencer? With Fan Challenges, you now can. Creators can set up challenges that invite fans to create their own content using a specific hashtag.
Here’s how it works:
- A creator posts a challenge.
- Fans join by clicking the hashtag on the post, reel, or another entry.
- Your submission then competes for engagement, with the top entries displayed on a leaderboard.
This feature has already taken off. In just three months, over 1.5 million fan entries have been submitted, sparking over 10 million comments and reactions worldwide. Creators are using Fan Challenges to build buzz, launch campaigns, and deepen engagement with their audiences.
Show Off Your Superfan Status with Custom Badges
Facebook is also enhancing its Top Fan Badges. These badges recognize the most loyal fans who consistently interact with a creator’s content. Once earned, the badge appears next to your comments on the creator’s page and can also be displayed on your own profile.
The big update? Some creators are rolling out customized fan badges. These unique titles give super fans a chance to stand out even more. For example:
- Cardi B’s fans can earn the “Bardi Gang” badge.
- Ed Sheeran’s community gets the “Sheerio” badge.
- J Balvin fans can show off “La Familia.”
So far, more than 500 million fans globally have accepted either a standard or custom top fan badge, making it one of Facebook’s most popular engagement tools.
