Facebook has officially launched its new modernized redesigned desktop. The fresh redesign provides a tabbed home screen, a neater view of the profile page, and a new dark mode. Recall that the design was announced at 2019’s F8 conference and can be opted for or returned to the usual design by users.
Public release of the new version of the desktop sites started getting tested in October last year and after months of positive feedback, Facebook decided to fully release it.
To activate the Facebook design, just head to the Settings menu of the site, then tap “See New Facebook.” To deactivate the redesign, head back to Setting and tap “Switch to Classic Facebook.”
Facebook recently launched a new redesign for its Messenger platform, getting rid of its “Discover” tab which will relegate the visibility of businesses and chatbots.
