Elon Musk is clear about the fact that he frowns against the stay-at-home orders. During Tesla’s earnings call days ago, Elon, Tesla’s CEO described the several restrictions as an outrage.
His words, “I would call it forcibly imprisoning people in their homes against all their constitutional rights. That’s my opinion, and breaking people’s freedoms in ways that are horrible and wrong and not why people came to America or built this country what the f—.”

According to Business Insider, Elon Musk even believes that the American authorities are over-counting COVID-19 deaths since they keep referring to the loss of lives of coronavirus patients as COVID-19 deaths, regardless of any underlying health challenges that might have contributed to the death. According to him, such reports only mislead the public and it has to stop.
His views are expected since lockdown orders have affected Tesla and SpaceX’s abilities to build cars, spaceships, and rockets, which could negatively impact Elon Musk’s ultimate objective of populating Mars. The CEO has always maintained that the persistent closure of his factories is a serious risk for his business.
