Ekasi Tech Fest eSports tournament returns to Soweto for the third consecutive year. The event will have a new home — the iconic Soweto Theatre in Soweto.

Ekasi Tech Fest eSports tournament 2019 is set to take place at the iconic Soweto Theatre, from 29 June to 30 June 2019. AOC Gaming, Nexus hub, Comsol, Game tyme magazine, Syntech, Redragon and Soweto  Theatre are the main partners for the event.

Ekasi Tech Fest still remains the first and only township gaming festival to combine technology and gaming under the same roof.

The event is geared toward unlocking the potential for innovation and development on both the gaming and technology front in the Southern African space.

This year’s event features popular gaming titles, Tekken 7, FIFA19, Counter-Strike and Street fighter V.

Ekasi Tech Fest eSports Tournament an initiative by I-village Foundation NPC that is built from the ground up to focus on eSports community and fan creations. With the aim of creating an environment that promotes eSports in South Africa, increase its level of awareness, improve its participation and inspire future talent.

Ekasi eSports

The first black-owned multi-gaming organisation in South Africa. That competes in eSports leagues, tournaments and championships hosted in arenas, online and offline.

White Rabbit

White Rabbit Gaming started as a casual MMORPG guild back in 2008 and in 2010. With the launch of Starcraft 2, decided to enter the competitive arena of eSports.

Omnius Gaming

Established on 7th of April 2017, Omnius Gaming is a new clan trying to make a mark on the already established competitive scene in South Africa.

Pot Prize

R2000 for each tournament – Street Fighter V, FIFA 19 and Tekken 7. R10,000.00 for the Counter Strike Global Offensive (CS:GO) team tournament.

Day pass – R 80.00

2-day pass – R 150.00

Tournament participation – R 250.00
