The Ghana Education Service Directorate for the Ketu South District is joining Talent TAHUF Foundation to start the 2019 TAHUF Technology Fair in the Volta Region. The fair is scheduled to take place from the 25th of September to September 27, 2019.
This is the second edition of the regional fair. Talent TAHUF Foundation, formerly known as Talent Hunt Foundation, is a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and youth-focused NGO that seeks to enable the transfer of practical knowledge in areas of modern tech to the youth.
The Foundation hopes to impart skills in the fields of Robotics, 3D Printing/Modelling, Electronics, Website Development, App Development, Scratch and Internet of Things at the fair.
TAHUF Foundation is expecting to use the fair awaken the participants’ interest in modern technology and inspire them to branch into the lots of technology-related careers and entrepreneurship drives.
As scheduled for September 25 to September 27, the fair will take place at the St Paul’s Senior High School (SPACO) in Hatsukope. Over 50 schools in the Volta Region are expected to be drawn to participate in the fair.
Also, a lot of tech companies and startups in Ghana are expected to join the TAHUF Technology Fair.
2019 TAHUF Technology Fair
Kumasi Hive and other leading technology organisations like Practical Education Network, Soronko Academy, and Africa Internship Academy will be present at the fair. Other organisations that will be passing through include Talents in Africa, IOT Network, and Jakpadie Equity Fund.
As part of the 2019 activities, the leading technology organisations will be undertaking various training and experiential sessions at the fair. This is supposed to give the participants the basic foundation for exploits in technology-based careers and entrepreneurship.
Mawufemor Kofi Folivi is the CEO of Talent TAHUF Foundation and also doubles as Assemblyman for Agbozume North. According to him, the fair has become a great avenue to expose young people to the benefits of modern technology.
He also added that the fair shows them how they can take advantage of the opportunities that are accompanied by various careers in technology.
Supporting the 2019 TAHUF Technology Fair is Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, who is the Member of Parliament for Ketu South. The other supporters include Avance Media and Holy FM.
