There is growing excitement in Ghana about the arrival of Starlink’s internet services, with many consumers eagerly anticipating its high-speed connectivity. However, there is a caveat. According to Starlink, Ghanaian users will be required to pay a monthly fee of GHC770 for unlimited internet access.
The pricing for Starlink internet services in Ghana comes just days after the NCA released a statement indicating that Starlink will start operating in the country by the end of August 2024.

According to the company’s website, the Starlink hardware kit will cost a one-time fee of approximately GHC5,390. While this may seem expensive, Starlink has indicated that an “Outside Region Fee” will apply if consumers in Ghana attempt to purchase kits from other regions where prices are lower. Additionally, shipping a Starlink kit to Ghana will cost GHC354.00.

Starlink’s unlimited data package allows customers to enjoy data without usage limitations; however, they are still subject to Starlink’s fair use policy.
Although the monthly charge for Starlink internet services is significantly higher than that of local providers, the anticipated superior quality of service may justify the price for many Ghanaian consumers.
