Work and Connect, an enterprise support organization in Nigeria, just launched a startup sandbox program in the country. It is basically a 3-month acceleration program for early-stage startups in Abuja that wish to grow and develop their companies into profitable and sustainable enterprises.
According to Work and Connect, the project will aid startups in various sectors like agriculture, education, Internet of Things, fintech, and green energy. Chosen participants will also be given office accommodation and granted access to knowledgable mentors.
CEO, Abdulrazaq Ahmed had this to say about his company recently, “We saw the knowledge gap, the dearth of skills and hopelessness at home and we decided to create a platform for young people to ideate, experiment and express themselves. Our goal is to lead the growth of northern Nigeria from emergency to development through impact investment, and entrepreneurship development. Ultimately, we want to change the narrative.”
