Jump.com.gh launched sometime in May 2017 by Busy in Ghana, unfortunately, has not been able to live to see a year.
JUMP a youth empowerment project of Busy to help management the graduate unemployment in the country and sub-region has failed to live up to expectations.
From all indications the online portal has been shut down and the company is no longer supporting it. We discovered the current state of the website sometime in April 2018 and till date, nothing has been down to restore it.
One would have thought it was a technical issue that would have been resolved within a day or two but for this to tarry, it obviously confirms our initial inference.
The screenshot above is what you see when you visit www.jump.com.gh.
JUMP started so well and it still baffles us it had to end this way. We were not particularly excited about the idea for an Internet Service Provider (ISP) like Busy to venture into the space of content marketing as we felt it would have been more appropriate if they had supported existing youth-founded blogs or websites in Ghana to achieve their objective.
It is not clear what led to this unfortunate wrap of JUMP but it certainly proves the point that one needs more than money to keep a vision running.
An attempt has been made to get updates from editors of JUMP but no word yet. We hope this pushes Busy to come out and give us some answers especially to the loyal readers of JUMP.
