Vodafone Ghana is preparing for this year’s Ashanti Month programme in the Ashanti region. The company is doing this programme, with a lot of activities, because it considers the Ashanti region to be a very important region to its [Vodafone] strategic delivery in Ghana.
The Vodafone Ashanti Month programme is slated to invest in a host of activities that will run throughout the month of May in the region. This year, the Ashanti Month programme coincides with the Asantehene’s 20th coronation anniversary celebrations. Thus, the head of the company promises this year’s event is going to be better than the previous year.
The Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Ghana, Patricia Obo-Nai:
“This year’s Ashanti Month is different because it aligns with the 20th Anniversary of the Asantehene and that alone gives it an elevated level of awareness and visibility. We commend the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for his unparalleled contribution and leadership in the economic and social development of this region.”
The CEO continued, “We also want to assure all our customers that we will continue to remain a leader in innovation and creativity in the industry whilst ensuring that their technological future is exciting.”
The highlight of the Vodafone Ashanti Month programme is the Vodafone Asantehene Open Golf Championship. The golf challenge is slated to take place from Wednesday, May 8 to Sunday, May 12, 2019.
There are other activities in the Vodafone Ashanti Month event. Some of the activities include health walks, health screening exercises, market activations, mega promotions, and giveaways.
Also, there will SME clinic for Vodafone’s enterprise clients and a digital coding for the youth. Some primary schools in the region will be selected for digital education awareness. A Royal Otumfuo Dinner will be thrown for key stakeholders. The dinner will crown the golf games.
This is Vodafone Ghana’s third year of sponsoring the golf championship with the Manhyia Palace.
