We were expecting Google Play Music to shut down immediately YouTube Music was launched; however, its existence was postponed till the end of 2020. Not to worry though, because you can easily transfer Google Play Music content to your YouTube Music application by adhering to these instructions:

  1. If you are yet to do it, download the YouTube Music application from the Play Store.
  2. Launch the YouTube Music application on your Android phone. A “Transfer your Play Music library” button would be visible. Tap “Let’s Go button to continue.”
  3. “Transfer your latest Google Play Music additions,” “Not Now,” and “Transfer” would be seen at the bottom as well, just tap “Transfer” to begin the transferring process.
