Three Ghanaian startups – Complete Farmer, Devless and RedBird, have been selected in the DEMO Africa innovation tour for a chance to represent West Africa at the DEMO Africa launch event in Morocco, later this October.
The Ghanaian trio will face off with the teams of Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire for the West African ticket to the launch event to be held in Morocco on the 18th and 19th of October 2018.
The successful startups in each region will automatically qualify to join the pool of 30, where the successful Startups will be provided with resources worth over US$150,000 including US$120,000 software tools from Microsoft and USD$15 000 from AWS in order to help them build and grow their businesses.

Complete Farmer is an Agritech startup providing remarkably innovative agribusiness solutions to clients – enhancing productivity, and increasing profitability while helping them gain competitive advantage across the agricultural value chain.
DevLess provides Data Storage for web and mobile applications, as well as application objects that help developers reduce the amount of code they write in order to handle the complex functionalities of their apps.
RedBird is a health tech outfit partnering with pharmacies and licensed chemical shops by bringing them proven rapid test technology for chronic and acute conditions which enable them to expand their business, aside giving patients a convenient way to monitor their health stats, wherever they may be.
The 9 startups which included Joluud, Trucker, Qualitrace, Damansah, Bidii Build and InvestXD, showcased their products in front of the respected panel of three judges – Philippe Greinacher of MEST Africa, Abdul-Latif Issahaku of MTN Ghana and Danny Kofi-Armah from Viamo, however, it was Compete Farmer, DevLess and RedBird, that won the Accra edition.
Application for selection to the 2018 DEMO Africa cohort closes on 15th July. Application is done online on the DEMOAfrica site.
