Team Jaykay trashes Silver Brooks Limited by 5-1 to clinch maiden edition of the corporate ecup

Team Jaykay defeated Silver Brooks Limited by 5 goals to nil to emerge victorious in the finals of the maiden edition of the corporate ecup. The corporate ecup was held last week at Decathlon Ghana, the Junction Mall on Friday, 28th June,2019.

The event organized by ThirdEye media in collaboration with Joy sports aims at bringing corporate bodies together to have fun in the field of esports while networking to enhance healthy competition.

The maiden edition of the corporate ecup, saw 10 corporate bodies battling it out for the ultimate prize. The ten corporate bodies that took part in the competition includes ; A1 Bread, solverbrooks Ltd, Ghkasa.com,GeorgeBritton.com, Jonila.net, Joysports, Hacklab foundation, Decathlon Ghana, IMF and JayKay.

Leader of the team JayKay, Jefferson Prince Ahorlu “FifaPrince” speaking in a exclusive interview with Jbklutse.com, he indicated that they had luck to qualify.

” Actually with the group stage we had luck to qualify to the next stage of the competition with had 2 wins and lost 2.

“Our first match was against silver brook at group stage and we won by 2-0. The group stage was really tough for us. But by the grace of God we qualified through group stage with 6 points.

“Silver brook toped the group with 9 points. We were over joyed because we came back in our winning ways in the semi finals. With the finals once we have defeated Silver brook already we were having the faith to do it again.

“Thanks to the members that supported team JayKay as well as shout out to blackroze who helped the team in qualifying through the group stage as well as team low key for the massive support.”

Speaking at the event, chief executive officer (CEO) of ThirdEye media, Foster Kofi Sam reiterated the importance of the event saying it is meant to help build eSports in Ghana among the corporate bodies.
