Being daring or “crazy” with innovation seems to have started running through the veins of Apple from the onset. Hence Phil Schiller’s defence of Apple removing the 150-year-old 3.5 headphone jack from its latest iteration of iPhone is not out of place as long as Apple’s track record is concerned
This is what Steve Jobs said about Apple and their courage:
We’re trying to make great products for people, and we have at least the courage of our convictions to say we don’t think this is part of what makes a great product, we’re going to leave it out… Different pieces of technology grow in cycles
He added that they go through seasons of existence and die out. According to him, they have gotten rid of a lot of things for which they have been criticized.
