Spotify Tastebuds feature

Spotify users will soon be able to see what songs their friends are listening to as the music streaming platform is developing a new feature called “Tastebuds”. One major way of discovering music these days is basically social but Spotify doesn’t have any such feature after it kicked out its inbox feature.

Well, that is going to change with the advent of Tastebuds. The feature is designed to allow the exploration of the music taste of friends. It comes as a navigation option alongside the Library and Home/Browse sections.

This feature was spotted by reverse engineer and popular tech tipster, Jane Manchun Wong. She explained how the feature will work. Tap on the pen icon to “search the people you follow.”

Then, you can view information about what your friends have been playing the most. You can then listen to their library and add songs from your library to theirs as well.
