From April 1st until the end of May, Rockstar games will donate 5% of its revenue to support coronavirus (COVID-19) relief from Grand Theft online and Red Dead Online. The company announced earlier that, following the outbreak of the coronavirus and the change to remote jobs, Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online services would not be affected, allowing fans to spend more time in quarantine.
The organization announced these latest potential contributions on Twitter yesterday. Given fierce demands for more information on Grand Theft Auto 6 production by the fans, it seems that Rockstar workers have more to be concern about, and worry about how they see friends, players and communities affected by coronavirus spread.
The funds they raise in April and May “will be used to help local communities and businesses struggling with the impacts of COVID-19, both directly and by supporting some of the amazing organizations who are on the ground helping those affected by this crisis”, according to the company’s statement.
The New York-based company, Rockstar games said, it would share more info about those donations over time.
