The MIUI Hidden settings
Xiaomi has a hidden MIUI settings on its devices. This hidden settings makes it easy for developers to execute tasks that were complex before with few screen taps. An example is the Notification log. This was formerly difficult to access. With this hidden MIUI settings you can get rid of some pre-installed apps and some Android apps too (Google apps that come with the Android OS). The app interface of Xiaomi smartphones is divided into two – Android 7 and Android 8. Depending on the version of MIUI version installed on your Xiaomi smartphone you can choose either of Android versions. Below is the steps in removing the Xiaomi bloatware.
Remove Xiaomi Bloatware using MIUI Hidden Settings:
- You’d first need to download the MIUI Hidden Settings app on PlayStore
- Open the MIUI hidden settings app
- Choose the Android version
- Tap on the Manage Applications
- Scroll over and tap on whichever app you want to remove from your device
- Tap on “Disable” or “Uninstall” option.
- Then Tap on “Disable app” in the pop-up
