This is as per a Digital 2020 Global Overview report.
The report has said 60 percent of Nigeria’s over 200 million population is yet to be connected to the internet while just 10 percent are actually active on social media. This is proof that less than half the number of people in Nigeria have access to the internet. It also shows that just 85.49 million Nigerians use the net, and this is around forty-two percent of the total population.
On top of that, just 27 million of those internet-enabled Nigerians own social media accounts that they use regularly.
The result also proved that half the global population is online.
