MTN Ghana has been awarded the Gold Employer of the Year trophy at the 2018 ‘Investors in People’ Awards.
The awards celebrate the best people management practices among businesses with Investors in People accreditation.
MTN Ghana, the only African company represented in the top three awards and also in its category has been named as a leader in people management practice globally – a result of winning the award.
Reacting to the win, Mrs Amma Benneh-Amponsah; the Human Resource Executive of MTN Ghana said: “We are excited MTN Ghana has become part of strong global brands that have won this award.”

She reiterated MTN Ghana’s commitment to building a great workplace whose conducive environment enables employees deliver the best products and services – in order for the company to “provide the modern connected life that everyone deserves.”
Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People described this year’s awards as “an inspirational celebration of best practice across our international community.”
It was fantastic to see so many worthy organisations nominated for outperforming in their approach to people management.
He commended MTN Ghana – which attained its first Investors in People accreditation in 2014 and was the first company in Ghana to do so, for their dedication to improving the quality of work for their employees, saying “congratulations to MTN Ghana on becoming 2018’s Global Gold Employer of the Year.”
Investors in People – one of the leading people management standards, is designed to help organisations develop performance through their people.
This year’s winners were announced at a dinner and awards ceremony held at The Roundhouse, Camden, London UK, on November 28, 2018.
