Expounding on the continuous investment in MTN, the CEO of MTN Ghana, Selorm Adadevoh, has said that his company executed well on its capex plans in 2019, supporting significant improvement in coverage expansion and maintenance of the network, customer experience and quality of service.
He said this at the recent MTN Annual Stakeholder’s General Meeting.
As part of MTN Ghana’s continues investment into the network, the company undertook several improvements in its infrastructure, and also took steps to significantly expand its coverage across the country, as well as maintain its existing infrastructure.
These coverage expansions helped MTN Ghana to improve and deliver its services better to Ghana’s remote areas.

Delving deeper into the exact details of the investments, MTN Ghana undertook steps to fast track its coverage expansion plans as well as roll out a network maintenance plan. The direct results of the investment were better customer experience and improved quality of service.
MTN rolled out 280 (2G sites), 557 (3G sites) and 900 (4G sites) across the country. Also, 100 rural telephony sites were provided, which expanded and improved the availability of the network in rural areas.
