1. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Aba
This church is built on 2.5 hectares (6.3 acres) of land and it has a gigantic statue of the angel Moroni on top of the temple.
2. Cathedral Church of Christ, Lagos
Designed by architect, Bagan Benjamin. Prince of Wales laid the foundation stone on the 21st of April 1925. The building was completed 21 years later.
3. The Synagogue of the Church of All Nations
Built in 1991, it is currently one of the most visited places in the country. Designed with various arches, spacious openings, and palm trees, it is definitely a sight to behold.
4. Maria Assumpta Catholic Church
The Nigerian Civil War halted construction from 1967-1970 but was finished in 1980. A Bishop from Ireland was the leader of the movement to build a modern cathedral in Owerri, we can say, categorically, that it is pretty to look at.
5. All Saints Anglican Church, Onitsha
This church was built in 1949 by the ex British Governor-general of Nigeria, Sir John Stewart Macpherson but its constructions happened in phases. It survived the Nigerian civil war and the church now focuses on meeting everybody’s needs.
