Microsoft is working on bringing its Defender antivirus software to Android and iOS later in 2020. The software company is developing applications for both mobile operating systems that are designed to offer antivirus prevention and complete command-line experience.
The tech giant is yet to reveal precisely what the applications will do, but they are working on previewing them at the RSA Conference next week.
The mobile applications come just under 12 months after Microsoft began a public preview for its Defender antivirus on macOS. Microsoft transformed Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) into Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) after that and the Mac client offers complete virus and threat protection alongside the ability to perform fast or full scans.
