After two months of exciting virtual country-level competitions, the MEST Africa Challenge 2020 enters its final stretch with the last outing on August 12. For this year’s finale, winners from Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa would compete for the top honour. Also competing for the same prize would be winners from Côte D’Ivoire, Sénégal, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and Tanzania.

The teams representing these countries will now face each other, for the ultimate prize of $50,000 in equity funding, in the grand finale. Aside from the top prize, the winner gets support from MEST’s hubs and community, as well as amazing prizes from MEST’s partners. Of course, you can’t forget earning the bragging rights as Africa’s best tech startup.

MEST is an Africa-wide technology entrepreneur training program, internal seed fund, and network of hubs offering incubation for technology startups in Africa. Founded in Ghana in 2008, MEST provides critical skills training, funding, and support in software development, business, and communications to Africa’s tech entrepreneurs.
