The latest that I’ve heard is that the iPhone 12 could have a release date of October 23. This is based on a leak for the iPhone 12 launch event date, which is reportedly set on October 13, 2020.
It has also been reported that the iPhone 12 pre-orders would start October 16. According to a report in Bloomberg, Apple is readying 75 million iPhone 12 units for launch, so it is anticipating a lot of demand.
iPhone 12 Leaked Price And Specs

Instead, Apple may offer a 20W power adapter that can be purchased separately. The USB-C to Lightning cable could get an upgrade, though, with rumors indicating Apple plans to offer a new braided cable design.
