Apple held its “Time Flies” event on September 15, 2020, to announce its latest Apple Watch SE. The September 15 event also saw Apple announce the arrival of the iOS 14 for iPhone and iPad users to download.
Apple’s iOS 14 was released on September 16, 2020, right before 4 pm Eastern / 1 pm Pacific time. The update should be available worldwide by the time you read this article. The new update comes with tons of new features.

The iOS 14 download steps are as follows:
- To download and install the iOS 14 update, go to the iPhone settings > General > Software update and wait for the iOS 14 update to show up.
- The update is almost 3.5GB in size, more or less depending upon the device that you are using.
Ideally, you should plug your iPhone or iPad into a power outlet before starting the update.
