Reports from popular tech site, TechCrunch, say Instagram has released a new feature which allows you to share the same post across the multiple accounts you run, that is, if you have some.
This new juicy feature is currently available in Instagram’s iOS app. Thus, only iOS users can make use of the feature for now. This new feature is supposed to make it fairly easy for content creators who like to foster the promotion of their products or works on both their brand and personal profiles. The feature does not limit itself to only content creators. Businesses with multiple accounts can also utilise it, for their many different audiences.
Not everybody has this feature yet. Instagram is slowly rolling this functionality out globally on the iOS platform.
The screenshot down here shows the “regram” feature is accessible at the final step of the posting steps. There you will be able to select which of your multiple accounts you want to make the post from, at the same time.

Though, a nice feature it will not allow you to pick other users’ posts then share from your own account. That is a feature the company has been on for some time now. It was first heard of in November 2017, then just last September too. But the results of the testing was not good. It would change the app experience and that may be why it has not been released yet.
As the Co-founder Kevin Systrom said in August last year, it is important to keep “your feed focused on the people you know rather than the people you know finding other stuff for you to see”. Obviously, the feature would contradict that directive.
At present, we do not know whether Instagram will get Android users too this new regramming feature or when. The company is silent for now. Another concern is, will this new feature be able to work with the Stories?
