The latest smartphone that will be coming from Infinix is already making waves on the internet. The Infinix S5 Pro is this new guy. This phone might come with an all-screen display — no hole-punch selfie camera on the face. That is because it has a fancy pop-up.
Features to expect in the Infinix S5 Pro
The screen may also measure 6.6 inches just like the previous Infinix S5. The S5 Pro, though coming from Infinix’ S series which has had LCD screens, may have a 720p AMOLED display.
Infinix may repeat the colour options in the previous S series line-up. The S5 Pro is also speculated to come with an in-display fingerprint scanner, ditching the usual rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
On the performance section, the S5 Pro may run on MediaTek’s Helio P65 processor or the P35, which is found in the Infinix Note 6. The internal storage is expected to be pegged at 128GB, with a 4000mAh battery. The OS of this phone could still be Android 9 but Android 10 is also possible.
Going back to the snappers. For the pop-up selfie snapper, we’re looking at 32MP. On the rear side, the Infinix S5 Pro may have a quad-camera setup: 48MP (main lens), 5MP (wide-angle), 2MP (depth sensor), and 2MP (VGA lens).
As top phone makers are ditching the headphone jack, we don’t know if the Infinix S5 Pro may retain it. But as Infinix devices are mostly mid-range and lower-end, there are some devices that Infinix would retain the now vintage headphone jack.
The previous S5 smartphone was priced around GHS 679. Thus, the S5 Pro upgrade is expected to start around GHS 1000.
Note that most of the specs here are what we expect Infinix to put in the S5 Pro. Thus, some of the specs may be different from the actual thing.
