WhatsApp being a widely popular chat app has gained it’s popularity due to how simple the app is to use and the many features it has frequently added over the years.
WhatsApp offers several ways to spice up your chats as we recently saw Stickers coming to the app in addition to other updates added to the chat app in the past few months.
Whatsapp allows you to send voice messages, videos, images and then there is also a GIF support.
WhatsApp on iOS and Android operating systems both support GIFs and allows you to send GIFs to friends from Giphy. But do you know that WhatsApp also allows you send your WhatsApp videos as GIFs. That means you can create a GIF out of the funny video of a cat that you received on your college friend’s chat group. GIFs are much smaller in size than videos.

Here’s how to convert a WhatsApp video into a GIF, follow these steps:

  1. Open WhatsApp.
  2. Tap the attachment icon given inside the chat box.
  3. Select the video that you want to make GIF of.
  4. By default, WhatsApp shows you a preview of the video along with the option to trim the video.
  5. Tap on the box reading GIF.
  6. WhatsApp will automatically convert your video into a GIF.

Don’t forget to share.
