Certainly not everyone enjoys being tagged in photos on social media and it’s quite annoying when you need to untag yourself from all those photos you have been tagged in. Instagram, like Facebook, lets others tag you in their videos and photos.
Though it works great for group pictures, the circumstances change when you are tagged by virtually unknown people; worse if their posts are in bad taste and do not reflect your sentiments. Surely, you wouldn’t want to be tagged in such posts, right?
Follow the below steps to mass untag yourself from those unwanted tags on Instagram.
Kindly subscribe to our YouTube channel
1. First, go to your Profile and tap on the hamburger icon in the upper-right corner. Now, select Settings and scroll down until you see Hide Photos and Videos.
2. Tap on it and it’ll display all the images or videos where you have been tagged up until now and select the photos one by one, and tap on the tiny Eye icon. That will hide all the selected photos from your profile. As easy as that!
Also make sure that you enable the option for a manual review of the tags. You’ll receive a notification as soon as someone tags you in a post, similar to Facebook’s Timeline Review feature. This way the tagged posts won’t show up on your profile.
