Google removes Totok from the Play Store for the 2nd time:
Google just got rid of popular chat application, ToTok, which has been alleged to be a spying tool for the United Arab Emirates, from the Play Store for a 2nd time. The application was previously removed from Apple’s App Store and the Google Play Store in December, but Google quietly brought it back last month, while the app remained unavailable on the App Store.
Well, Google probably changed its mind again as the app has been removed for the second time with no reason provided.
Remember that Google pulled ToTok off the Play Store the first time for violating unspecified policies with ToTok denying via a statement that read, “not only do we respect privacy and ensure security, our users also have the complete control over what data they want to share at their own discretion.”
