The Ghana Information Technology & Telecom Awards (GITTA) is an award ceremony that recognizes innovation and excellence in the Ghana ICT sector.
The 8th edition of the awards was held last week and here is a list of the winners:
Financial Technology Company (Fintech) leader of the year – Hubtel
Mobile cloud service provider of the year – Hubtel
Best payment gateway provider of the year – Hubtel

Vokacom is an IT service company with experience in Information Technology, Digital Addressing, Content Aggregation, Financial Advisory, Agribusiness and Real Estate.
Digital Transformation Award – GCNet
Public Sector e-Solutions Provider of the Year – GCNet
I.T Personality of the Year – Executive Chairman of GCNet
Ghana Community Network Services Limited (GCNet) provides e-Solutions to Government and its agencies through the deployment of a Single Window platform which connects over 10,000 actors in the trade space.
Customer Experience Company of the year – MTN
CSR Company Of The Year – MTN
Data Service Provider of the year – MTN
Mobile Money Service of the year – MTN
Mobile Operator Of The Year – MTN
Telecoms hall of fame award – MTN
The General Manager for MTN Mobile Financial Services, Eli Hini was given a Special Award for His Immense Contribution to Promoting Financial Inclusion in Ghana.
Mrs. Jemima Kotei Walsh, Customer Relations Executive of MTN was also recognized for her Outstanding Contribution to Customer Service in Ghana.
Mr. Abbad Reda and Mohammed Lawal Rufai, Chief Information Officer and Chief Technical Officer of MTN Ghana, beat competition to win the Best CIO and CTO awards respectively. This is the second time both Abbad and Mohammed are winning the awards.
The Customer Service and IT teams were also recognized for their outstanding performance.
