The Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia led 15 local ICT companies to visit the high city of Silicon Valley in California, USA.
The visit is expected to last for five days. The Vice President will hold discussions with Silicon Valley’s thought and technology leaders to review the chances of developing strategic insight, decisions and partnerships.
The meeting is aimed to smoothly drive the Ghana Beyond Aid agenda through the digitisation of the Ghanaian economy.

The selected 15 local ICT companies which accompanied the Vice President were: GHIPSS, Hubtel, SoftTribe, DreamOval, IBM, and EDEL Technology Consulting.
The rest include GE, Trotro Tractor, Rancard Solutions, Nsano, Expresspay, Bluespace, Callens Solution, Systems and IT Consortium.
A few days ago, Dr. Bawumia visited a number of local ICT firms to comprehend their woes in order to assist policy formation.
The visit to Silicon Valley by the Vice President and the leadership of these ICT firms is to engage world crème dé la crèmes in ICT in order to exchange ideas and fashion Ghanaian solutions to Ghanaian challenges.
The Vice President will meet with corporate executives of cutting-edge digital technology organisations including Microsoft, Facebook, Tesla and Alphabet he will also visit a number of facilities including the G.E Digital Centre and the IBM Watson Centre.
