The Ghana Library Authority (GhLA), as part of its “Year of Learning” initiative for 2020, has launched a new skills-acquiring programme. This programme, Read2Skill, will help Ghanaians who want to learn new skills get it for free.
Read2Skill, according to the Authority, will be giving scholarships to 1000 Ghanaians to join the Udemy online learning platform. This is a full scholarship programme so interested people would not have any worries about fees.
The courses for the scholarship on Udemy include Cloud Computing, Data Science, Finance & Accounting, Graphic Designing, Human Resource, IT Operations, Leadership & Management, Office Productivity, Project Management, Sales & Marketing, etc.
That’s not all for the Year of Learning initiative. The Library Authority says it will promote public and school libraries “through street walks and community engagements to create awareness on libraries, the establishment of an endowment fund to support GhLA and the celebration of a national reading day.”
People interested in the Read2Skill programme can apply via www.ghanalibrary.org/read2skill.
For any other info, you can contact the GhLA via info@ghanalibrary.org.
