The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology campus will on Saturday, 23rd November 2019, host the qualifiers for the 2019/2020 Gamers Lounge Inter-Campus tournament at the JCR of Republic Hall after the University of Ghana, Legon qualifiers were called off last weekend.
The Legon edition was to kick start the qualifiers for the 2019/2020 season last weekend but was called off, with a new date set to be announced.
The Knust edition will thus be the first qualifiers which will see the best four players in the FIFA 20, Call of Duty and Mortal Kombat 11 games progressing to the finals of the Gamers Lounge Inter-Campus tournament.
Registered participants will be facing off in one of three games, FIFA 20, Mortal Kombat and Call of duty, with the semifinalists progressing to the next stage of the competition.
The Gamers Lounge inter-campus tournament qualifiers is being organized by Gamers Lounge with support from Get4Less, one of the best electronic shops in Ghana.

Tournament structure 
FIFA 20 (PS4)

  • There will be a minimum of 64 players for the qualifiers.
  • 8 console-setup/stations
  • 16 groups, round-robin, two qualify from each group into the knockout stage.
  • Four semi-finalists (1st, 2nd,3rdand 4thplace) will represent KNUST in the finals

Mortal Kombat11

  • 32 players
  • Best of 3 players till final 4
  • Final four will represent Legon in the finals

Call of duty

  • 4 console
  • 16 players, 4 groups.
  • Free for all.
  • Final 4 will represent Legon in the finals as a team and not free for all

The qualifiers will begin at exactly 9 am and there will be two virtual reality setups as well as Mario kart on Nintendo switch.
