Ericsson and Microsoft unite for the next generation of connected cars:

Ericsson and Microsoft are uniting their connected vehicle expertise. In a recent statement, the companies have revealed that Ericsson is building its Connected Vehicle Cloud on top of the Microsoft Connected Vehicle Platform that is running on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. Ericsson’s Connected Vehicle Cloud connects over 4 million cars across 180 nations worldwide – approximately 10% of the connected vehicle market.

A part of the statement read, “The platform is tailored to fit vehicle manufacturers’ growing demand for scalability and flexibility with the capability of supporting any connected vehicle service.”
