Tech startups focusing education are gradually gaining their roots as one of them in Ghana, eCampus, has been given the go-ahead to join the finalists for the Global EdTech Startups Awards in London next year.
eCampus is making education in the country accessible to all by connecting the learners and teachers via its mobile and web platforms. It was among over 70 startups from Africa who initially applied for the awards.
The startup that wins the first price goes home with $100,000 Cloud Credits, which is sponsored by Google Cloud for Startups and AWS Edstart. The second and third place winners will get $20,000 Cloud Credits apiece.
A reward of $3,000 Cloud Credits, sponsored by Google Cloud for Startups, will still be given to all the finalists.
