The appointment of Owusu-Kyereko is also a move by the company to bridge the gender gap in the workplace as well as the tech world. A good move by such a company.
Before she joined Jumia, Owusu-Kyereko was the General Manager at Ringier Ghana. She has also managed tisu.com.gh, an online discount startup in Ghana. Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences from the University of Leeds, UK, the new CEO has Masters in Management, Organisations and Governance, Business Administration and Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
