1. She values her family
Big positions come with huge responsibilities but Susan Wojcicki still goes back home every single night to enjoy dinner with her family.
She had this to say about that “I try because I found that if I’m home for dinner, I can get the scoop from my kids on the day. After my kids go to bed, I check email. It’s about having that balance.”
2. She is not perfect
Susan is of the opinion that being a mother to her children helps her to be a better YouTube CEO since it forces her to concentrate on the things that will have the greatest impact on her company.
Her words on that, “I want people to realize that it really is OK, that you can have a family. I don’t feel like I’m a perfect mom, and then there are times at work where I feel like maybe I wasn’t perfect here because of constraints on my time.”
“But having the sum of both of those things going on in my life makes me a better mom at the end of the day, and I think gives me really important perspectives in the workplace as well.”
3. Pregnancy did not limit her
If you are a young lady reading this, YouTube CEO has a piece of advice for you. She urges women, in general, to never overplan their lives.
Her exact words on that, “Joining Google when I was four months pregnant was a bit of a leap, but sometimes you have to do the right thing for you right now.”

Susan Wojcicki was born in Silicon Valley. She grew up there before it transformed into the technology and startup zone it is today.
5. She started with Google
Susan Wojcicki has been part of Google for a very long time. She was the search engine’s 16th employee. During Google’s early days, the company actually operated from her garage.

Susan was the brain behind Google’s AdSense. She came up with the brilliant idea for the adaptation of Google’s AdWords into the self-service platform it is known as right now.
7. She had a hand in Google’s YouTube purchase
Susan Wojcicki was part of those that made Google’s Youtube purchase happen. When the process started, she was handling Google Video and YouTube was her main competition. Since Google acquired YouTube, the video service’s value has increased massively, all thanks to Susan Wojcicki.
