Although it is the most preferred messaging app for most people, one would admit there are some features that Whatsapp is lacking. Updates are constantly made to the app — meaning it’s possible that such features would eventually be added. However, in the mean time, people have to depend on third party apps to provide such features.
This article is about a number of Android apps with which you can enhance your Whatsapp experience. From auto-reply to profile picture enhancement — there’s something to catch your interest.

Away is an auto-reply app which allows you to set up personalized messages as a response for whenever your contacts write to you.
To use this, toggle the Autoreply button to set up your first message. Next, you’d need to edit the default message away by tapping on the pencil icon. Once you’re okay with the message, type on the ‘Done’ button.
You can edit out the predetermined responses by tapping on the three dots (more options), and select the ‘Clear All’ option. You can decide who you’d want the message to be visible to — ‘Everyone’, ‘My contact list’, and ‘Except my contact list’ in the ‘Contacts’ tab. Also, you can enable groups.
2. WhatsCrop: Use a full profile picture without cropping it
Most of the time, if your profile picture is too big, you’ll need to crop it; making you lose some important detail out. WhatsCrop allows you to use the entire picture without the need to crop anyone or part out.
Once the app is open, tap on the image icon at the bottom-left of your screen. You’ll be given the usual option of taking a new picture via the camera or choosing an already existing one from your gallery. Your chosen image would automatically fit into the circle. You can tap on the pencil icon to personalize the background from the default white.
3. Zedge: WhatsApp wallpapers
A good wallpaper is something you’ll need to have on your WhatsApp as it’s something you’re going to be looking at often. One wallpaper app that has the best you can think of is Zedge.
Here’s how to change your wallpaper. Open a chat in WhatsApp and tap on the three dots at the top-right. Choose the wallpaper option, and decide as to whether you’d want an image from the gallery, a solid color, or from the wallpaper library, etc.
4. Sticker Maker
Maybe you’re the kind of person who favors stickers over emojis. Unlike emojis, you won’t always have the exact sticker that communicates the message you want to send across. With Sticker Maker, you can use your personalized pictures to create customized WhatsApp stickers.
In order to be able to add a pack to WhatsApp, you’ll need to create at least three stickers. Choose a picture and follow the on-screen instruction to draw an outline around what you want the sticker to consist of. You’ll be shown a preview once you’re done creating; so you can decide to keep it or not.
